Lawrence Muliett is pictured here in dress uniform, likely prior to his deployment to the Pacific. Muliett, born in Malta in 1920 later moved to Detroit in 1925 with his mother, Francesca, to join his father, Emmanuel, who was employeed at Ford Motor Company. Lawrence was therefore raised in Corktown, and joined the U.S. Army at the outbreak of World War II. He would later be killed in action on Leyte Island in 1944.

This photograph was donated digitally in 2013 by Rose Mifsud, the sister of Lawrence.
